Shocking Video: Police block Gov. Amaechi from entering Government House

The crisis in Rivers state took another dimension Thursday evening, as police mounted a roadblock at the Government House, forcing Gov. Amaechi to take alternate route.  The governor was returning to the Government House after a political meeting with members of the ‘New PDP’ and  supporters, including visiting ex-speakers of the state’s assembly, when they met the roadblock.

‪The State Police Public Relations Officer, Angela Agabe, has however denied such ever happened insisting that the police only dispersed “hoodlums” from entering the Government House. Gov. Amaechi is embroiled in a long standing battle with both President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience, and the police in his state.
