‘Nothing do me' – Late Agagu’s son speaks + Burial still holds today

Feyi, son of late former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Agagu, who was one of the 5 survivors in the Thursday’s ill fated Associated Airline plane crash  that claimed lives 15 passengers aboard says he is alright and no one should worry about his state.

Feyi spoke when his friends, led by Jide Obanikoro, the son of a former Nigeria’s ambassador to Ghana, Musiliu Obanikoro, visited him at the Surgical Emergency ward of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja where he and other victims in the crash are receiving treatments.

He said he became unconscious after feeling the impact of the aeroplane hitting the ground but woke up later. He had a neck support and some bandages but he giggled when he saw his friends wearing worried faces.

While being wheeled to the Intensive Care Unit for a body scan, the victim threw his right thumb up to his friends, saying ‘nothing do me’.

Meanwhile, burial of  late Agagu, will still hold today as planned. Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State, Ebenezer Alabi, said:

We just consulted with the family and have decided to go ahead with the burial. More so, the son of the former governor survived and the son-in-law survived. There was no scratch on the casket. So while the family sympathised with those that lost their lives and their loved ones, they have decided to go ahead with the burial as was initially planned.”

Also, the body of the former governor, which was still intact despite the plane crash, is in transit to Iju-Odo, his country home and final place of rest.
It was gathered that the family of late Agagu in Iju-Odo had ordered that his remains be conveyed to his home town, yesterday, by road to continue with the burial arrangement.
A dependable family source said that the burial will now be done without the usual pomp and pageantry.

The Christian wake-keep was held as scheduled, yesterday, while the body will be interred today
A member of the burial committee, who confirmed the decision of the Agagu family to go ahead with the burial despite the air mishap, however, expressed concerns over the plan.
